Nothing weird. Euros/Xruks are scared that Putin will convince Trump of the truth of what's really going on regarding the war, casualties, and effect of sanctions on Russian economy. They are scared that this will somehow give Trump an excuse to cut weapon shipments, financial transfers, and intelligence sharing with Ukraine because these are the last "leg" that Ukranny is standing on. EU can't even begin to fill America's shoes despite a notable depletion in several categories of American weapons stocks after 3+ years of combat. Thus the moment US exits this game (for whatever reason) Ukraine falls.
And they KNOW Trump would prefer to exit.
It's as shrimple as that.
