You can never trust any western news about China. They make up shit regularly and are fed talking points by CIA-backed operations like Radio Free Asia.
They have to regularly pump out "China bad" propaganda because otherwise people would catch on how much better at running shit China is than the US. Just compare and contrast how quickly China has been able to build rail lines and green energy infrastructure vs the US. This has only gotten worse under Trump, who is doing so much to destroy the country that he might as well be a Chinese agent. Unless something changes we're going to be living in the Chinese Century.
