the original Enterprise had shuttles, too
considering they went with the shuttlepod for 1701-D it's highly likely they'll do shuttle again

though I can't recall any iconic extra minifig that would "fit" with it. (like Harry Mudd, but he wasn't really in a Shuttle episode)

if I had to guess what they would do instead?
maybe a little corridor scene from the Tribbles episode so you can open the hatch and all the little 1x1 round bricks (tribbles) fall on Kirk
