I think this is a solid one! You're just figuring stuff out. I've been only drawing ponies for a bit but I think the gesture plays a bigger part than "anatomy". Legs basically oversimplification of horse leg gesture with long cilinders. At least that's how I see it. Making clear and recognizable poses helps, if you wanna ommit the leg so the pose it's more readable well you can! As long as it works out. I think the chest would look a little better if you consider the whole torax as the classic "bean" form so it reads better.
