I think a salary cap is good because for the last few years players have been getting ridiculous with the contract expectations they think they're entitled too when free agency looms. Pete Alonso thinks he'll get some 8 year contract, Schwarber wants a 6 year contract as a 34 year old solely DH, everyone thinks Tucker is getting a 10+ year 400-500 million dollar deal. It's getting ridiculous. If we don't step in now, soon we'll see bench utility guys thinking they're entitled to 100 million+ deals
