Because the game was a literal dumpsterfire on release.
Name literally anything that could go wrong and it did with that game.

That shit game actually fried my sound drivers so hard that i had to get a new motherboard.

Recently just reinstalled it because it got crossplay and my mates wanted to play it and it's a much better game now, probably on par with Vermintide but the damage has been done and it's well deserved.

No amount of explaining how cooked the game was at release will ever properly convey how bad it actually was.
It has practically been in alpha up until very recently.
