Because there's no identity to 4chan beyond contrarianism, and most people here are either teens trying to fit in, or jaded oldfags who need to double on the contrarianism because the world's changing around them. I don't much care for CBMs these days, because as a longtime fan I just get more and more pissed off at all the changes. As movies themselves they're hardly ever genuinely good to watch, because they're very formulaic. But they're certainly not worth hating. Some of them are just fine and easily rewatchable. The constant
>reeeeeeee I hate capeshit capeshit capeshit caaaaapeesssshiiiiiit
>capeshit capeshit capeshit it's the worst genre ever and even Meet The Spartans is better reeeee
is just pure idiocy by morons, young or old. This desire to see the "genre" fail is ludicrous, when it's been around for decades. It'll slow down, it'll change, but there's no reason for it to die. Meanwhile these same people basically jerk off to corny action flicks with catchphrases and pretend that Ahnuld saying one-liners is a gift from God. I can recognise that Predator is a very well made action flick and does what it does greatly. But it is still a stupid action flick about meatheads fighting a retarded spacenigger. If Predator never exist, life would just go on. And then you have things like Commando or whatever else. But because they're older and star oiled muscled men instead of less muscled men with a cape, one's masculine and the other's soiboiblablabla.
People here just want to be contrarian and nothing else. This is the age of globohomo and girlbossing, so they turn to action adventure movies of the past and elevate them to action adventure movies of the present. Preferences are one thing, but no, Commando isn't any more masculine or "grown up" than Captain America.
