Depends which software. Some kinds of software such as Electron/Chromium based apps, Qt6 based apps will work if you install VxKex (from thrashnet.org). The new developer is making lots of progress and even a few simple directx12 games can work on it.
There's actually at least one app that runs on Win11 only which doesn't work on Win10, but does work on Win7 with VxKex. That app is WinDbg from the Windows 11 SDK, which is relevant because it's the first version of windbg to support >4GB PDB files for debugging Chromium and Firefox. Fun example to bring up when 10niggers get uppity.
