I just don't like Silksong no more.
That's an overexaggeration but I ended up caring less about it than I expected. It hasn't left the deep footprint in my heart and soul that I expected it would. Could be just a victim of my overinflated expectations but I felt like I was through with the game before I even finished it.
The story/lore I find unexpectedly uninteresting overall, and trying to focus the emotional beats on the Hornet/Lace so much despite its underdevelopment will fall flat in the long term for anyone other than stubborn yurifags, similarly to Arcane. Silksong's a very good game but there are too many unwelcome quirks and disappointing directions taken with it, and this stops it from living rent free in my head the way Hollow Knight did.
I hope I change my mind once the DLCs drop, I'll see ya then.
