Hello, an occult practitioner here with some minor succeses, even if not a regular on the board. I was asked to make corrections after private discussion where many things were said about these threads.

>Why do it?
Many of these are wrong unless someone is in bad health and/or masturbates excessively, to the point of overtaxing themselves.
Some of these are wrong unless someone suffers hormonal issues.
Some, the "supernatural" ones are wrong if a person doesn't practice any spiritual tradition
There's no such thing as "improvement of testosterone". You can get more or less of it. And which is good depends on your "default" hormonal levels. Sometimes more is bad, sometimes less.

>semen retention is one of the clearest paranormal inducing thing of all the other topics discussed on /x/
Unlikely. It shouldn't, on its own, cause ANY paranormal effects unless there's already something wrong with the person. It can be used for such, but only in boundary of occult practices. Otherwise it's like eating healthy dose of protein, never exercising and expecting powerful, muscled, shaped physique.
>It’s a sacred practice that has been the one of the main focuses in every major religion or spiritual practices.
Also wrong. It's hardly ever a focus. It is a component of some religions, but almost always a minor one to show devotion to some deity or as a prerequisite of some spiritual and religious practices.
>The mystical side of it is what we try to focus on in here.
Aforementioned practices are absolutely necessary. Refer to muscles example.
Another comparison: sexual activity is like using some of your battery. Depending on how, and how much you use it may drain your device, making it work suboptimally ("do magic") but it will work somewhat. If you'll do retention without transmuting and utilizing what you've transmuted, it's having the battery topped up 100% but never actually working with the device.
