It's not a remake, it's a remaster. Meaning they will keep all the old assets and code and likely just upscale and make it playable natively on modern platforms. The best you can expect is a NG2B style graphic overlay with everything else the same.

DW5 is the worst of the PS2 games. It's too fucking easy, the enemies were lobotomized, the stages are all the same with the shitty copypasted bases, the weapon weights ruin several characters, the bodyguard system was gutted, etc etc.

DW3 is the best choice.
