Twitter has become a VERY different place post-Elon. Lack of moderation, paid incentives for engagement, algos that maximize conflict, and a shitload of bots flooding the site (literally 80 percent of Twitter traffic is bots now) means that the loudest, most hateful bastards you'd expect to find here end up being the inmates running that insane asylum. Most other people just sort of migrated elsewhere, while the stragglers just end up as easy targets.

Modern Twitter became exactly the "internet hate machine" older generations thought this place was. Professional trolls harassing and doxxing anyone they come across because they're paid pennies to do so.
