The priests died out ages ago
The only thing left behind is a bunch of seething ghosts unable to move on
Still fuming about the forgotten gods
Even now the story refuses to go into detail the difference between the nameless and forgotten gods. I mean we know what one of them is, but we have no idea what the other one is. They never give us details about the nameless goes whom the nameless priests worshipped. Apparently they had great technology though. For some reason the story keeps specifying the nameless goes are the ones that built a lot of the science shit in the ruins.
