This. This is the smartest take on the most realistic scenario if Russia does invade NATO countries. The Three Seas Initiative countries (AKA the Butthurt Belt) are intended to be the new buffer zone. Everything from Tallinn, Warsaw, Split, all the way down to Athens will be allowed to become a bombed out wasteland. But, Brussels, Paris, London, Berlin, and Rome all expect to make it without a single mortar being fired in their direction.
