Unnerving is pushing it, but I can definitely see melancholy in exploring maps that used to be bursting with life (literally) become empty. All those memories and all the people are just gone. It's not really scary or unnerving so much as it's a reminder of the evanescence of all things physical (and digital).

It can also be comfy too. No griefers, no trolls or loud retards on mic shouting at you everytime they die. You don't have to worry about retards bothering you and sending you death threats you know they won't follow up on. It's just a mindset thing at the end of the day.
