I still kind of like Windows too. It's better with my nvidia card, has more compatibility with software I use, and it looks pretty. It's just that Microsoft has been making it worse for the past few years. Windows 10 was finally becoming the perfect Windows. Then they went ahead and pushed 11. 11 on its own isn't so bad after you stop all the telemetry, but this year, performance has been noticeably getting worse on the desktop and they still try to sneak in telemetry stuff.
I dual-boot now, and I only use Windows if I want to play games that aren't working for me on linux. I've even been using Photoshop less and less lately too, been moving more over to Krita and GIMP. It's a shame. I liked XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10. And 11 is arguably a prettier Windows 10, so I SHOULD like it, and I really want to like it, but Microsoft makes it really annoying. I wish they could just focus on making it a good experience for the user and let us decide how we want to use it, instead of trying to force us to use it the way Microsoft wants us to use it. Just stay out of the way, Microsoft. Your concern should only be giving us features we ask for and improving performance.
