Hey speaking of insultingly talented guitarists, how about something new from Lord Phobos of TWRP? He just dropped a solo album called Phobos 6(66) (All his albums are self-titled and numbered, this being the sixth).

Full disclosure, I haven't gotten around to listening to them all but they average out to 4 minutes each. The album description reads "200% more guitar solos than ever before" and it certainly delivers. They're all pretty cool but I think Boogie Knights is the most my speed. Sounds like something to play a SHMUP game to, some kind of arcade track, I dig it. Didn't have time to listen to No Sleeves, though.

Another emotional one, this time a reverse of the last one. What's that mean? I still don't know. Love the mellow mix of guitar and soft percussion, and those harmonious vocals. The video storyline still boggles me but someone in the comments seems to think the two guys are the same person, future/past versions. Not sure I get it, but maybe I will eventually.

Next up, a weird little citypop/futurefunk number from Vantage and Hibiya called I'm In Love Again.

Considering this is a modern tune, it's legitimately impressive how everything from the vocals to the synth mixing feels very much in line with classic city pop. I know the genre doesn't have many fans here, but that novelty felt interesting enough to share. Like, even the video feels of the times. I find it charming, what can I say?

Next up we've got a little indie rock jam from Peach Fuzz called Fall Right Back to You.

I don't have a whole lot to say about this one, it's a pretty simple four-piece band with decent vocals, nothing too spectacular but I find the silly Scooby Doo vibe they give off kind of endearing. Like I could see an old school 70s cartoon dedicated to them, sure. I'll look into them a little more and see if they've got anything more to give.

If you ever wondered what Bad would be like if it was 50% more fruity, here you go. I have to respect the shitpost game here. Also, some legit impressive roller skate choreography too. They played this one at the concert and literally everyone knew it except me. It's a fun song though.
