What bothers me about the whole things isn't that is done, but its execution. Why is it that he thought the most important thing right after waking up after being freed was to look for her, then deciding he better go eat something, to then finally just decide to take up Katana guy's offer to visit a brothel in no time? He didn't even have a particular reason for doing it; he just hadn't fapped in a few days. It felt very sudden, random and done without thinking about it. Like, he could make more difficult choices when the stakes are lot lower (choosing to take care of Power over going to Enoshima with Makima). But Fujimoto had her be killed just after/while (don't know when it happened, but lets just assume it did) he got that handjob from Yoru, which is very funny considering the alley scene where he clearly stated Nayuta was much more important to him than Asa. It makes it less believable that he was invested in finding her in the frist place. And how afterwards he stopped worying about her until Barem appeared. Everything about her death felt so frustratingly expected. I get that to some readers nothing besides Denji and his development matters, but if you actually got invested in her and the relationship she had with him it's difficult not to think badly of Denji. This is nothing like that time with Aki at all; here he actually deserves to drown in self-hatred. He should've just become Makima's dog and stop thinking for himself desu.
