The problem here is that leftists can't identify what actual fascism is. They thing your great grandfather fighting the germans was anti-fascist (which it was) and is akin to Trump deporting people who have come here illegally and do not hold citizenship in this country. Ironically democrats used to also hold this position, but they cant ever hold the same value as a reasonable person for long and so they reversed course.
