Fontaine forces too much suspension of disbelief
>the guard dissolving out of nowhere without a clear trigger
>the magic box construction that was allowed to build a secret tunnel to the oratrice
>the fatui underwater tunnel from Poisson to the Opera Epiclese
>the thief stealing macarons in front of 5 people and none noticing
>Focalors mindboggling plan literally relying on 500 years of luck and the actions of some unrelated Narzissenkreuz NPC
I can tolerate one or another, but in Fontaine it happens too much for my taste. The script itself is fine but the story needed more polishing. It ends up using emotional shock value to cover-up the shallow narrative moments, kinda like how Penacony did
