Charlie speaking out against them was far worse and much more damaging than any anti-Israel talking head doing so because Charlie was known as a big pro-Zionist, huge in the American conservative and current MAGA movement and establishment (also deeply entrenched with Zionism), he’d taken money from huge Zionist donors (but recently began refusing it), and ran the biggest conservative youth political organization in America with the biggest conservative youth base. It would have seriously hurt Netanyahu's reputation among American normie conservatives precisely because Charlie could paint himself as a reasonable guy.
>Look, I’ve supported Israel, I even still support Israel, I just have some criticisms of the current Netanyahu regime.
And with his huge base of supporters and listeners, this would have been much more damaging. Maybe it sounds counterintuitive to you, but think about it: Figures like Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, and even Tucker Carlson have already been relegated to the “fringe.” A pro-Israel conservative like Charlie turning against Israel arguably would’ve been a massive PR disaster that Netanyahu could not have recovered from.
That's why Netanyahu ordered his assassination.
