It has tested my faith, sharpened my focus, and showed me a lot about myself. I believe this may be humanity’s way of integrating the shadow. To recognize the propensity for evil possible in the human heart and to still steadfastly struggle against it with the whole of our hearts. But if we only make a halfhearted attempt at keeping the wolves at bay in our hearts then they have won.
