Shy, awkward, not great at life. Recently found modest success in life but after a lonely and kinda shitty childhood and 20s. Never really got to make friends or ever experience romance. Now most folks around me are very closed minded, don't care about stuff like intelligence or reading or learning, have very few and narrow interests and little care for things beyond their few interests. I'd like to date or at least be friends with a woman who is smart/into academics (particularly the humanities, social sciences, or regular science), and such. Feels like it's mostly younger women who are into that stuff, and then grow out of it. Would just be nice to spend some time with someone who cares about that stuff before she loses interest or whatever

Note that I'm not a super smart person or anything, I just appreciate smarts and academic talent, you'd probably be smarter and more capable than me
