Outside the characters and some planes, most of the rest of the aesthetic of UW has stuck to a general fantasy theme. Even something like Duskmourn still feels and fits better than other sets like Aetherdrift and Edge. Spider-Man definitely has better humanoid character design than most UW sets (only recent one that comes to mind as being better than average is Dragonstorm), but Jesus Christ everything else about it just does not look or feel like Magic. For instance, if they made a UW version of Flash Thompson I would replace Village Bell-Ringer for it in a heartbeat because I like the card’s effect but there is no way in hell I’d get him as he is now because New York does not feel or look like Magic in any way, shape or form. And as apathetic as I am towards LA (never cared about it as a kid or adult), that looks more like Magic than Aetherdrift or Edge does.
