Does Ganondorf ever talk about his mom in this game? Is there a mother-son climatic drama of her being forced to put down her son? Or was that not allowed because the anti-story Zelda people won again...damn you Shigeru Miyamoto. I don't know how Rosalina survived Mario Galaxy with that anti-story guy around. Ganon could have easily be written in a prequel setting (Hyrule Warriors AoI) as a politically savvy conqueror like Alexander the Great who riled up other tribes to revel against sky people calling themselves kings of the land. Maybe could've tricked a few dissenters from Zora and Goron tribes, while the Gerudo were honor bound to put down Ganondorf. There was fertile ground to make some simplistic but compelling narratives about Ganon.

But muh secret stones? Secret stones? Ancient sages? Secret stones...fuck that writer.
