Skadi pretty comfortably out-stats Mountain, including in HP regen if Gladiia is about.
The only thing Mountain has on her is being both deployed and having the two block by the time you'd have the DP to even deploy her, meaning there are places you can't get her out in time.
She's might not have the DPS against fodder of Mountain, but she has so much more durability if you bring her full squad of fishe it isn't even funny.

For me it was Hoshi. Even if I had known it was a thing I probably wouldn't have bothered and if I knew she'd one day get a 4block module, I wouldn't have rerolled anyway.
