“Thank you Mr. Speaker. Today is a historic day, a day when the House of Nobles expressed their dissatisfaction towards the King after a long period of inactivity and our calls to end it.” Katrana spoke and you listened. There must be a ploy in this, there must be. “Today we upholded the ancient agreement of sharing the duties of the Kingdom on our part by exercising our right to vote on our matters. We have done everything according to our laws, while the King has not!”

Seeing her talk like this made it apparent how good of a public talker Katrana was. She was confident, she was charismatic and she got the point across.

“Today we voted to declare King Varian's actions an offense. We voted for him to abdicate and we threw his shackles off our shoulders!” Katrana spoke and her supporters cheered and applauded her. “These papers in my hand are the most important papers of Kingdom of Stormwind's history since the founding papers of our great House of Nobles! These papers affirm our responsibilities to our people and to our nation. They affirm our position to guard our people and to ensure their prosperity. Our standing is clear, we the Nobility of Stormwind are the ones to decide our destiny!”

You watched this in silence. Was this it? No ploy, no rug getting pulled out under your feet?

“We will have a meeting after this session is over between the Great Nobles and we will decide how to move forward when it comes to our day to day matters.” Katrana told the Nobles. “But rest assured, we will call the next session as soon as possible and inform you of what is to come.”

Her supporters clapped as she finished. The Speaker hit his gavel on wood one more time and called the session to end.

That's it. That was it. She had done it. The House of Nobles don't recognise the power of King Varian anymore. And you had no idea what this would mean in practice. Too many questions and not enough answers.

Some of the Nobles rushed out of the hall, they were probably Varian loyalists who were seeing the signs in the air. Everyone would be on their toes from now on. The risk of someone doing something really stupid was apparent. One mistake and people would be drawing their swords. You didn't want to think of that as a possibility, but it was a real one.

Katrana looked at you and smiled. What was she thinking?

>Go immediately to King Varian and demand to see him. He needs to know what has happened, he needs to find his spirit.
>Lady Nalice needs to be informed. What she feared has happened. She is your strongest ally for now.
>You need to talk with Katrana right now and demand answers. What is she doing? Are you being used?
>No, you are an outsider. Keep your distance and wait for them to come to you. That will show you who actually values you.
>Other, write in.

“Exactly, she needs me to come there a week earlier. The Alliance Meeting is in four weeks and it will take nearly a week to sail there. So in two weeks we need to leave there if I am going to help Katrana.” Alric told you and closed his green eyes. Your boyfriend looked quite annoyed about this and then you noticed the glass of wine he was enjoying alongside the hookah.

“Are you drinking too?” You asked with a tone of disappointment in your voice. “What did Katrana request you to do?”

>Allow Alric to explain why Lady Katrana requires his help?
>Take the letter and read it for yourself. That way you don’t miss anything.
>Is Katrana trying to seduce Alric again?
>We could think of the trip to Stormwind City as a vacation. No wars or fighting, just the two of you.
>You have always wanted to see the Church of the Holy Light
>Other, write in

Preliminary Hilde Imswit marriage thoughts:
>She shouldn’t marry either if the child Edith carries is actually a boy. Then the urgency will pass.
>Langston is in an important position and he is rich. Sure the family name would be Langston-Imswit and you don’t like the man at all, but long term that would ensure the wealth of the family.
>Gravis is a good man and honourable. But he is just an officer and a knight, he doesn’t have much wealth or lands, but he does serve Alric which does count.
>Who is actually the father of Edith’s child? It is not the man-at-arms, right? It can’t be Alric?
>Other, write in.

QM: We will do most of the marriage stuff on the side while the rest of the events move forward to not bog everything down only on it.
