Leftists/Democrats must honestly think that the institutions exist as some sort of abstract. But the truth is that the institutions are the people who work for them.
>If there were asylums that were bad, it's because there were bad people working in them.
But to a Democrat (even 30 fucking years ago) a bad experience by an institution is not the bad person they interacted with that needs to go. It's the entire institution itself. Watch for this next time you're around them. You can't unsee/unthink it once you know to look for it. Everything is an abstract to them. And the moment you try to ground their concern to a specific face or name, they become hostile. They only want to complain as long they are able to be as vague as possible. That's why their solutions always turn in to a catastrophe.
It goes both ways too. They could start the society of 'free house free food happy life for all' and if the end result is the whole community goes to shit with poverty, theft, violence and rape, it doesn't matter. The abstract purpose associated with the name is all that matters. Not the actual human consequences on their community. Just look at any city they run.
