I don't know, it's untapped potential in my opinion. GT continued the trend of progression regardless of its execution and set up the foundation of what a sequel or continuation should and don't do. It's in a spot that doesn't force itself within the original story and also sets up a new starting point with Goku and Vegeta Jr. Two characters they can use and mold to their liking instead of forcing the original Goku and Vegeta nonstop in roles that contradict their characterization.

If they create a new series, it'll be another after Buu gets defeated but takes place before EoZ series, and they can't use Toriyama as a scapegoat anymore.
