Easiest game in the series even on Professional. If you thought LJ made you kill stuff too quickly on Legend 8G has you killing stuff in a single punch sometimes. You have to actively not put any points into the attack buffs and refuse to use Shark Rings to have any chance of basic combat having any difficulty. I only had one section of attack upgrades (There's either two or three) and only one Shark Ring with the rest being other rings and I completely slaughtered Amon with no remorse.
Mad Dog is just as awful as it is in 0 and K2 with barely anything to work with and its only claim to fame is the Tiger Drop, being able to grab enemies or items, and the summons on R2.
Sea Dog is so monumentally overpowered there is never a reason to swap to Mad Dog.
>You have Kenzan's 2kat round block so no matter where you're attacked from you can block.
>You have like triple the amount of Heat Actions including one on the ship that instantly kills like 8 people.
>You can hold triangle or O which throws your hook at an enemy, pulls you towards them, stuns them, and allows you to do a slash that does close to Tiger Drop damage.
>You have twice the attack speed as Mad Dog.
>The rings you get exclusive for it make it even more broken with War God Talisman-levels of Heat gain and Ultimate Heat gain.
Ship battles are whatever. Early on you feel like it's fairly balanced but soon figure out that only one type of cannon really works well at all, it mostly relies on stunlocking boss ships and ignoring other ships shooting at you, and primarily revolves around boosting and drifting to avoid stuff when you're not perpetually stunlocking the ship.
