There's some real deep cuts in Prichan that the staff must have, the writer including Aoba Yuzuru, which is a reference to Hishida's pen name he used while writing Pretty Rhythm, alone shows they are as knowledgeable about the franchise as the Elite. Ohba-P said he wanted Prichan to show that the characters and aspects of past Pretty Series are just as relevant today as when they first came out so I think that plays a big part of it too.
