Eos and Selene had different kits until SHB, while I would love to see different summons it's unfortunately more likely to see the pet be removed and have its core abilities like Embrace and Fey Union added as a passive trait à la Kardia.
Carbuncle on SMN already has virtually no use after Searing Light got changed to be casted by the player and not the pet only because it's a byproduct of having to level ACN for it, wishful thinking is that they'll actually go all in for 8.0 and do a good clean up reworking classes too and not just jobs (borderline impossible)
