I think that controls on guns are inevitable. In fact they've already been happening.

I think that this is going to happen, the gun violence is just going to keep occurring. But I believe we can get a very good deal in exchange for this concession.
We should get the right to have strong community militias in our towns and cities. These militias would uphold the will of the founders in defending the community against a rogue federal state.

However the right of every single rogue nutball to possess a firearm would need to be curtailed, as a tradeoff.

Imagine if the US dropped everything, all international concerns, and invested 30 years of its foreign policy to obsess with the tiny country of Armenia. Bombing their neighbors, overturning governments, assassinating, bribing rebel groups to take down their adversaries. Then eventually securing the "Armenia accords" which secured their regional dominance of the entire Central Asian region.

People looking at the situation from the outside would think....this is fucking insane. What is the US doing? Have they lost their mind?
Oh btw, it just so happens that Armenians donate the most to US elections, and have power over US media and financial institutions. But we would be doing all this anyway even if Armenia didn't exist, trust me.
