Spent the weekend with some of my ukrainian friends. They are pretty much completely demoralized and acknowledge that their government is highly corrupt and the war is completely pointless and a lost cause. One of the funniest things is how some people they know try to go back and visit and then get detained because they have dual citizenship in ukraine and the US and then get immediately deployed to the front. Some of Ukraine’s biggest supporters are ukrainian diaspora who admit they don’t want to go back because they’d get drafted. It’s so hypocritical and sad
