> Took a look at the new version of Zenless Zone Zero, just gotta say, making money really is easy.

The story presentation isn’t even basic stand-and-talk scenes anymore,
it’s more like Tencent Meeting or a galgame-style storyboard dialogue, no animation, no camera work, saving every penny.
At launch, there were comic-style cutscenes, now it’s just big-head dialogue for half an hour followed by a one-minute video and that’s it.
As for the plot, it’s the kind you can predict at a glance. If the emotional buildup were solid, maybe it’d be forgivable, but it’s completely devoid of surprises and the pacing is stiff.
It gives off the vibe of “everyone already knows what’s going on, so let’s not bother pretending, let’s all just phone it in and call it a day.”

Zenless feels like every version rolls out two new characters, polish the models and combat design, slap on some stats, and sell it.
Story doesn’t matter, everyone buys it anyway.
With the miHoYo brand backing it, this money is just too easy.
