>It's like Xenoblade for retards except even retards would find it retarded and bad.
That's the perfect summary of ZA. I love Xenoblade and was looking forward to see that kind of combat in a Pokémon game, but, HO. LEE. SHIT. I HATE THE CONTROLS. What drugs were they on? This is not how you do action combat with a pet. HOLDING ZL just to access moves? Right stick to change targets? Menu popping up when you don't want it while trying to use your X move thanks to short lock-on distance? That's not even beginning to go over the UI and awkward positioning and move range thanks to the terrain.
If it isn't wanting to play Xenoblade to appreciate a better game with similar concepts, it's Kingdom Hearts. Exploring Lumiose makes me miss Traverse Town and jumping and gliding off its rooftops. The controls is also far better there. I'd even rather deal with KH3D's Drop system again than ZA's day-night cycle, and Kalos (France) was in KH3D and done better, TWICE. And the husbandos, so many fun, hot men!
>I wouldn't call it an humiliation ritual per-se, but there's such a distinct lack of care even for nu-Pokemon standards here...
I'd call it insulting apathy.
