god I wish things hadn't gone wrong, it was stupid fun and remains the only asymmetrical multiplayer to actually succeed at making the format uniquely enjoyable
stage 2 was especially fun, they didn't just learn from their missteps they went above and beyond
many people point to microtransactions as being most at fault but honestly I say the balance and player perception is what did it in
new players are needed to keep a game alive, to a new hunter player the monster was too much of an obstacle and the hunter mechanics were too obtuse and to a new monster player the feeding/routing was too obscured and the hunters were inescapable
