Someone already confirmed the bullet hit his body armor, if it hit only his neck there would be no damage to it.
Also on the video from the front you can see there is movement on his shirt before any wound and as well as far too much movement for something that wouldn't have hit it.

The bullet has to have hit his armor, that kind of movement is simply impossible if it didn't or if it was the exit wound.

Was the last thing going through his mind that maybe everyone shouldn't have access to deadly rifles?
