You're being lied to by people who never got out of low rank. Wilds SA is rad as fuck. People don't like spamming Full Release Slash, as if spamming Double Slash/Morph/Morph in Sunbreak is somehow more fun or skillful. Wilds SA is also blessed with offset rising slash and counter rising slash as powerful defensive options.
Now don't get me wrong, I also love Sunbreak SA. I miss element burst counter dearly when I am playing Wilds. ZSD actually has a purpose in Rise unlike in Wilds, but frankly, if it wasn't so ridiculous for curing frenzy and healing off bloodblight, I'd probably never use it.
