the problem is that it's not nearly as ugly as the previous gen. type r buyers want something that looks ridiculously over-styled and stupid because they're usually smelly mexicans with no sense of taste. the looks of the new type r will only appear to a more mature and discerning buyer who wants 4 doors and performance. but the wrx offers similar performance for significantly less money, so a discerning buyer would get that instead. AWD is also more attractive
