It will cause massive inflation INSIDE the US and deflation outside of the US.
Everything will get massively more expensive for prisoners of the jewnited states of golemica and cheaper for everyone else.
Except for real estate. There might be an initial drop in real estate prices as anyone who can work remotely or is a pensioner flees abroad to escape the inflation tsunami caused by the tariff and puts their house up for sale.
However, the cost of constructing any new real estate will explode as well, as will the cost of everything which relies on anything imported for its production or manufacture.
These jiggers have no idea what the actual second, third, fourth and 5th order consequences of something like this would be. They can't seem to think through the causal chain deeper than one single link in.
