I work alongside a US based insurance company used by several major appliance stores since 2005
In the past 10 years aprox, ive noticed a 20x uptick in claims numbers, involving appliances of every single brand. Always around 2-4 years of use. Usually caused by subpar materials and cost cutting measures like using plastic instead of metal on key moving parts. Usually theyre caused by the same type of parts, like compressor materials, tubing, stress prone parts, etc.

It seems no matter what brand u buy, they all have the same manufacturers making programmed obsolescence parts and Im surprised there hasnt been some kind of class action lawsuit against those recognizable brands.

btw, Ive found the best washers are the simpler ones, the ones which doesnt add unnecessary comforts. Panasonic makes good , reliable, simple washers.
