I hate to be "that guy" but you do know that the "fuzz" on spiders isn't actually soft hair right?
They are barbed bristles that embed in the skin and are used defensively. Needless to say, a hug from such a spiderboy wouldn't be a pleasant experience

You see, the issue isn't so much him. He is perfect for cuddles the way he is.
The problem is your fragile human skin that can't properly withstand his cuddles.
Through the power of the monkey paw this weakness is rectified, for you are transformed into something more compatible, as in you are changed into a attractive spider humanoid yourself. Male, female, something in between, whatever you prefer.
Now his urticating hairs have no negative effect on you and in fact feel quite comforting as you cuddle.

Since this is a regrant mainly for my own nerdy amusement I will forgo making a wish to not interfere with the people who still haven't gotten their wishes granted yet.
