I wonder if some sort of rail+catapult system would make more sense
Though I guess they use boosters to be more flexible and transportable with the additional benefit of being able to keep the drone light and the booster pushing into the core of the airframe rather than having to direct the acceleration forces through some sort of reinforced landing gear

Yeah, in some aspects I most certainly am the odd one out here.
Most people that have these strong views tend to have them for inane and stupid reasons.
