It's not apparent to me, because I understand that I cannot cover my sin or become an heir of God through good works of my own. Only Jesus' finished work on the Cross and my faith in Who He is will allow me to approach Him in confidence. I understand the depth of my sin and want no more of it, and He will free me from this body of sin and death.
