I am no Warcry hater and used to play the 1st edition a lot. Hell, I still have my Golems and the original terrain set. Never played Nucromunda, but I loved SW:A which was a kind of a beta-test for it.
My beef with both games is a ridiculous amount of DLC and extra content spread among dozens of WD issues, random PDFs and shit. For me, Warcry not having a REAL starter set that stayed valid for the whole edition is quite baffling as well.
You want me to jump back into Warcry?
>There is THE 2-player starter set available for the whole lifespan of the edition with two full Warbands, period.
>Warcry stopped being a game OC Donut steel band the moment they expanded beyond the original 8P6 warbands. I want more 1-player starters with a wild mix of sprues from existing AoS factions
>Those fucking ridiculous 2-player DLC sets should come with rules for new bands only, some new lore and that's it. No content directly tied to the Core game rules like scenarios should be locked behind the FOMO paywall. Any new rules should be released as books available separately
Before someone comes up with the retarded "but m-m-muh wahapedia clone!", I don't care. It is super handy but I like to have my self-contained rules printed and personalised. I don't want to check every time GW shits out another FOMO box if it is something I should care about. I don't have to deal with this when playing OPR Skirmish.
