Yes, we’re just not dumb.
Allow me to explain.

While the eyes look like they’re glowing, they’re not. It’s not his pupil, it’s the whites reflecting off the light directly above him and into the camera lens.

What’s happening is because his pupils are SO fixated on his target, youre seeing a lot of white - which makes it look like they’re glowing.
He’s not a true eye glower.
