A pity for the axe, unfortunately YH fantasy series didn't work out, part of the problem is that in the end those series had the yuri aspect too telegraphed with the character dynamic being too obvious to be interesting, while really lacking in the world building of a fantasy series, Wataoshi had this part figured at the start before Inori went full retard on pandering to social media abominations, but if you pick actual experienced fantasy yuri authors you see an ocean of difference. What happened with the gyaru series was inexcusable though, even the volume extras are specifically about a bad end ending where the yuri didn't happen.
