Hi, I'm an artist. My idea is that the Twisteds and the main floors are like the tip of the iceberg of something much larger below.
The Twisteds here are the link in the evolution of Ichor. In Part 1, they will be more prominent, especially upon reaching the Lair of Depths, as I also emphasize gameplay. In Part 1, Liam James encounters multiple Twisteds on Floor 1 instead of just 2, referring to the players who play in public and don't survive Floor 1.
Also, I want to further explore the concept that Ichor is the blood of the Greek gods.
In my interpretation, Ichor is, in fact, the blood of the gods after the fall of Olympus to Hades thousands of years ago, but now plans to re-emerge with an army of blood-created monsters. However, since Ichor is poisonous to humans, they use the Twisteds, using them as pawn zombies, but they move to the depths and begin a grotesque transformation, something like to go up in rank where the strongest become Warpeds.
