Even if she says that I don’t believe it. The studio behind this basically has it as their house style at this point and everything since the Spider-verse movies has been trying to ape it from shows like Arcane to video games. This movie looks good but so does almost every animated movie at this point. Honestly I’m surprised that this movie is doing as well as it is. K-pop seemed to have reached its peak years ago but as with all things it’s finally making it around to all the turbo normies that still have Netflix. If it weren’t for a lot of the visual gags I’d even go so far as to say it’s kind of boring with how you can see the story beats coming from a mile away. But being just okay is enough to stand out these days. At least Twice was on the soundtrack.
